Sharon, I have always got pig ears lying around our house, we tend to give her new ones if she has been especially good (she never eats them properly, just chews on and off for weeks until another dog comes into the house, in which case she finishes them all!) These types of treats are great for keeping their teeth clean and especially good for teething puppies. Down is not as easy as sit. How have you approached it? With Ceilidh we put her into a sit then hid the treat in our hand and pulled it slowly from her nose to the ground and kept it on the ground. That way she followed the smell and was so desperate to get the treat she lay down to sniff my hand. Give it a shot. You may find he picks up on hand movements when you are training him. Ceilidh has and knows when your hand goes up to sit, when it is directly above her head to put her paws up on our hand (looks like a squirrel) a hand pulling forward from her is to stand and a hand to the floor is down. You get what i mean. So how have the crazy nipping spates been?
Good to hear your exams are going well James, I bet prima is missing her training! My wrist is still the same I am afraid.
