Happy Christmas everyone!!!
Ceilidh has had a fantastic christmas, meeting all of the dogs in the family! Toby, Auntie Liz's black lab, is incredibly pleased to have a new play mate but we don't think that he was expecting to have all of his bones, chews and toys stollen from him! She would not eat them but she certainly did not think that Toby should have them as you can see. There are three other girls between Gregors sister and parents and they were all rather huffy about a new comer to the family. The eldest Kylie, 16yrs old, was straight up on the couch and Gemma the choccie lab sulked into her bed while Millie the border terrier was a snappy little beast (she was banished to bed after that incident!).
Then it was off up to my parents and their spanniel Paddy, who is the most neurotic dog I have ever met! He would not talk to anyone at all, refused to eat and if he was in the same room as Ceilidh he would sit in the corner feeling sorry for himself. As you can see from the picture with Gregor as a middle man he went in for a sniff when she was fast asleep. We are going to visit again for New Year by which point we can take them for a walk together, so fingers crossed that Paddy gives himself a shake and becomes at least a little more friendly.
I will update you all on how that meeting goes. It is great to see how the whole family are getting on! We all hope that you have had a great christmas and wish everyone a happy New Year.

Thank you to everyone for your lovely cards, photo's, e mails and blog posts, Happy Christmas to all of you 2 and 4 legged.
James has been quite ill the last 5 days and was in hospital at the weekend managing to get out on Christmas Eve, turned the corner now but still very weak. The important bit is we are all home, (Andrew has a day off!!!) the dogs opened thier pressies and we have all had a lovely restful day.
Glad all the new owners are having a fun if not exhausting time, all babies seem to be behaving, well for Munster's anyway!
Have a happy and healthy New Year, Good luck for 2008.

Seriously sweet - an update on Yeti
Yeti continues to be a total darling - she lives with 4 male dogs (all different breeds) and is the youngest so she is having to learn really fast who's who and what's what - our oldest dog (4 years) did his usual:' oh no, not another puppy' when we brought her home but actually Yeti is really turning him round - the other day, she was in his bed and he crawled in as well - he wasn't happy but he did not disappear upstairs which has been known. She has a voice to be sure but if she is getting a tad to vocal, you can clap your hands, call her name and she will sit and look up at you with her gorgeous blue eyes (that at times look green) and you melt!!

Stanley Settles In!
Well, its been a week now since Stanley left the loving and capable hands of Ali and the Blitzan's! He's settled in beautifully. A few tears the first night (completely understandable), but since then, not a cry to be heard! My 4 boys just love him, and he's a great playmate to them all. I've never known such a calm pup, though he is quitely confident. He met with my Dads two Dogs and was straight in there! Very inquisitive! He's certainly no shrinking violet! The noise and chaos that my children create does'nt bother him at all. He either joins in, or sleeps through it! Stanley loves his food, and is eating fantastically well. All in all, he's thriving, and we're totally thrilled that he's blended in with the family and become a core part of life here. We just love him.

This time baby Britches left the nest.
Now called Stanley or is that Stan the Man!
I have heard from Katie who said he travelled really well, walks round his new home as if he has always been there, loves the children, ( two 4 year old twins) and is a real Mummy's boy! Oh yes he is eating like a horse, so nothing new there then. :-)

Doesn't time fly
Can't quite believe how time flies - the babies leave home this week starting on Wednesday.
They have been such a cuddly, laid back bunch of babies, not noisy, very contented and huge eaters, if only all litters were as easy!
I will seriously miss all of them and not keeping one this time has been incredibly difficult, yes I know 10 adults should be enough but...................
I just hope they continue behaving well for their new families.
