Heart broken

Diva - Sh Ch Blitzan Leahs Stunner JW
9th December 2003 - 31st May 2012

Today I lost my soul mate, my girl; We were so close it has been like losing part of myself.
Diva was always such a happy girl who really enjoyed life and anything you asked of her she did with great enthusiasm. Her personality shone through and she had a lot of admirers in the dog world, she won over several very non doggy people too!!!
As her name suggests she was a stunning girl, so pretty and the loveliest personality. People who knew her knew her by her Christian name, Diva, and not by her show name, she was the sort of girl who grabbed your attention. She did so much to help the breed by travelling to Sweden with me, bringing in new blood lines and widening the breeds gene pool.

Only ten days ago Diva was fit and well, snuggling up at night for cuddles and following me everywhere throughout the day, she was my constant companion and I will be lost without her. Her illness started with an upset tummy and within just a few days she was laid out in the Vets on a drip. She was quickly diagnosed with IMHA and put on the correct medication, over the past 4 days we were thrilled to see her blood count rise from 10 all the way up to 19, she was due to come home today providing her blood count was still rising, yesterday when I visited her she was so pleased to see me, she even managed to chat with me, she greeted me with her teddy in her mouth and then as I followed her with her drip in my hands she took me on a tour of the Vets back garden. After a tough week Andrew,  James and I were finally able to relax knowing she was fighting the illness and was coming home. We visited Diva at the vets twice a day, we would spend up to 2 hours with her. When we arrived this morning Diva was flat out and had very laboured breathing, her limbs were rigid and her stomach distended. I immediately got on the floor with Diva and held her in my arms talking to her and trying to help her relax, I was stroking her and kissing when our Vet came in. Graham told us Diva was very poorly and we should let her go as she had developed a thrombosis, basically where her blood count was so low it became very sticky and developed a clot, As Graham was telling me I was still cradling Diva when all of a sudden she lifted her head right up off the floor and looked me right in the eyes and second later she was gone.
We are are heartbroken, I can't imagine tomorrow without her, she has been such a big part of my life for just 8 short years. one in a million and one I was not ready to say goodbye to. It has taken it out of me to write this but I have done it for my show girl, she always loved to be centre of attention and I know she was loved by more than just me, to all who have asked after Diva and have sent good wishes to her thank you, Your kind words have helped us. Karen, Lins and Judith you have been wonderful, thank you.

Diva my superstar who was taken from me far too soon, goodbye my angel, my soul mate and shadow.

Lots of hugs xxxx thinking of you all

Get Well Diva!!

Ali can't get on the Internet just now, so I said I'd let you all know about Diva.  She is really poorly at the moment, at the vet being treated for IHA (Immune hemolytic anemia).

It's a rare disease and Diva needs lots of get well wishes to help her get through this.  She is only 8 years old, she only became poorly a few days ago.

Get well soon Diva from all of us here including your beautiful granddaughters!

I'm not sure if Elva is pointing or just getting fed up with the plastic bag in this photo!  We have now given up with the bag as in all this wet mucky weather it didn't help much, we just have to give her foot a good clean in some salty water when we get home after a walk.

How are Mazy and her puppies doing Karen?  Have told Jed that he's an uncle!

SPENCER

Having to write another piece as don't know how to edit my first piece.

Here are a few pics of my little tinker.

if only they would all be still at the same time to have a good photo.

So far Spencer does not like the hoover, lawnmower and the word NO!!!!
But likes to help with putting shoes and clothes away, you turn round and he has stolen your shoes and any clothing and puts them in his bed upstairs.

Catch up and more!

So much to say, Firstly HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Lins and Peter on their engagement, I think I'm nearly as excited as you are, OK not as much but am excited and already thinking what to wear, I think January will be lovely for a wedding, fake fur stoles and snow on the ground! James will look after here so we can come up and stay at yours the night before, great excuse to have a bottle of wine and get the dogs ready!!!! We wish you both a lifetime of happiness x x x

Now my apologies for not being around for the last few weeks, unfortunately been poorly in bed and today is my first day up, Andrew has tried a few times to get on-line for me but our connections have  been done for the past 10 days as well!!! Onwards and upwards!

Visiting Karen and Mazy was wonderful, I can honestly say I have never seen such a proud and happy girl to show me her babies, Mazy was beside herself, being her first litter Mazy has quite rightly been a bit unsure of anyone apart from Karen touching her precious babies, she offers a low warning growl and lies on them to keep them safe, Karen had forewarned me but Mazy had different ideas, she was bouncing on her back legs at her stair gate as son as she hear me, I went straight to her and had a huge welcome and then she positively took me into her babies where Mazy virtually shoved her puppies at me to pick up and inspect! However once I had cuddled both her babies she insisted it was her turn to be cuddled and no one was going to stop her, as you can see from Karen's photo! Andrew and I had a wonderful time and yes I would of easily pinched Clover, Sparkle is beautiful too but Clover is so like Logi I want her sooooo much!!!

A very proud Mummy Mazy!

Adorable babies, Clover and Sparkle

Poor Elva, I hope she feels better soon, nails do grow back quite quickly Mummy Summer and Daddy Darcy send their love xxx

Finally I'm never surprised by how small the world is, fancy Steph and Lins meeting in a car park in the lakes. Quite the family reunion, Bode is looking so well, well all of the dogs look well, I have pinched some of your photo's for my big revamp if I ever get a chance to do it!

Get well soon Elva, look after her Uncle Jed!  Lots of Love Lins, Pete,
 Louis, Bailey and Jasmine xxxx
Big Uncle Jed is looking after poor Elva.  She split a claw lengthwise and had  to have it stripped off so that a new one can grow.  She is being a very good patient apart from not liking being on the lead all the time.  The vet said it wont take long for a new one too grow and harden.

Family Reunion at the Lakes

What a blast we had up in the Lakes! It was lovely to meet Stephanie and the family. We made it up Helvelyn on Sunday. On Saturday we walked around Ennerdale - where Pete proposed!

Here's some pictures, sorry about the quality, they were all taken on my phone.

Who says puppies don't remember who bred them? Mazy insisted on sitting on Ali's lap!! Ali and Andrew came to visit us yesterday, yes we do still have two puppies, Ali tried to sneak out with one up her jumper!
Both puppies have now opened their eyes but trying to get a photo while they're actually awake is proving difficult. What a lovely life eating and sleeping the day and night away.

A few more photos taken yesterday

How cute is this puppy!!

Maier & Bode go to the Lakes

Derwent Water

Bailey - Uncle to Bode

Maier and her half sister - Jasmine

Maier on Catbells - Keswick

Mr Bode at Derwent water.

We went for a break to Keswick and bumped into "Lins and family" in Booths car park. She recognised our dogs as Munsters and said she had two. We went to meet them and it turns out that Bailey - Darcy's brother - is Bode's uncle!! (Darcy and Summer are Bode's parents) And new puppy Jasmine is a Logie daughter just like Maier!! Bailey is very handsome and Jasmine is SOOO cute!! Both boys were taken with her as she is a very lovely (and confident) puppy! They had a great time playing in the lake.
Did you make it up Helvellyn? The weather was changeable on Saturday!?
We had a fantastic time and both dogs thoroughily enjoyed themselves and have been sleeping ever since we got home!!

Happy birthday to the River litter and last Logi puppy for sale

I can't get over just how gorgeous and adorable Jasmine is Lins, you are so lucky and I also can't get over just how like her Aunty Diva she is, I'm so pleased you have her as now I can share her just a little with you and see her grow up!!!!! Sorry about the Hovawart, I knew I would cause trouble if I rang you about her!! Just blame me, I don't mind and am quite used to it!!

This little beauty is Jasmine's sister, Sky, she is the last of Gill's puppies so if anyone is after a terrific Logi daughter she may be your last chance as Logi, Zeta and the River litter were 11 years old yesterday. (Also Karen's two beautiful puppies are of course sold, she had 12 bookings so she will attempt another go in 6 months, if her vet advises she does that is). Sorry I didn't get on to say happy birthday yesterday but we were busy partying with them!! Quite the party animals don't you know!!!!

Logi's last Ashlowrick daughter - Baby Sky - Last one available.

Birthday boy Logi - Sh Ch Blitzan Rhine JW ShCm - 11 years old on Easter Sunday

Birthday Girl Zeta - Blitzan Tamar - 11 years old Easter Sunday Congratulations!!!

So happy birthday to my darling Logi and Zeta and the rest of his litter, long may they stay fit and well to continue to enjoy life and birthday's. Also don't hang around if you are interested in Sky, she wont be available for long!!! Remember she comes from parents who have great hip scores, are HUU clear and also HC free. Healthy dogs with the perfect temperament, as many in the breed can testify as many already have Logi relations.

Make sure you scroll down to see some gorgeous puppy pics form Lins and Karen, they are too sweet to miss!!!
