Puppy Party

Brodie went to his first puppy party last night. I’m not sure if it’s because he’s a munsterlander; the fact that he was 3 weeks younger than the next youngest pup; or if it’s just Brodie’s personality but he was the most excited and noisy pup there! When we arrived all the other pups were sitting nicely beside their owners but the minute we put him on the floor he went rushing off to meet all the other pups. He seems to be very confident (or maybe it’s just his young age). He is 10 weeks, and the others ranged from 13 weeks to 4.5 months.
The puppy parties run for another 3 weeks. We were planning on taking him to training classes starting in 2 weeks but seeing how he behaved last night I’m thinking there’s no way he’d pay any attention in a training class – he just gets so excited when there are new people or other dogs around. Maybe starting the classes soon would help with that I don’t want to take him too early.

Any recommendations on whether I should start the classes in 2 weeks, or wait till he’s been able to go out walking a bit before we start classes (we’ll be able to take him out in 1.5 weeks after his vaccines). He’d be 12 weeks when the classes are due to start.

He weighed in at 10.6 kg at the party! I hope I’m not feeding him too much – he was 7.1 kg just 2.5 weeks ago. They do grow at an amazing rate.
