Had a lovely walk this morning accross the meadows here in Holton. It is one of Maggie's favourate walks as full of life for her to hunt. This morning I was really pleased with her because she came accross a deer twice, the first time she started chasing it and I called her back and she did and the second time it was a large stag right up beside the wood. The last time she found a deer here she followed it into the wood and we didn't see her for 10 minutes so my heart was in my mouth hoping she comes out unhurt, but this morning Frank watched her through his binoculars and when the deer went through to the wood he saw her hesitate not sure whether to follow so he told me to blow the whistle. Well I nearly fell over backwards because she actually turned round and came back! It made the walk for me!
