Feeding and Season

Thanks Judith. Mathilde has equivalent of 2 pot noodles James Wellbeloved, also Duck and something or other flavour, for breakfast and then in the evening as well. Sometimes I mix meat in sometimes I don't. I have thought perhaps the meat or pilchards I mix in sometimes gives them a runny tummy.

Mathilde had her hips score done last Friday week and weighed just under 25 kg so had actually lost a little.

As to seasons that is what I am hoping for. Mid September after the shows but before the holiday would be great. Hope she obliges.

Questions about Feeding and Seasons

Ali and Judith, I have a couple of questions for you. I'm trying to build Mathilde up but I don't think very successfully. I've always used James Wellbeloved for my dogs and I don't like the Pedigree products because all the additives in them used to make my hyperactive springer spaniel even worse. Until about May time Mathilde used to eat all put down for her (which was a large helping - bigger than Bentley's), but end of May beginning of June her capacity just started to slow down. I thought to start with she was just reaching maturity but then she seemed to be looking a bit skinny. I think probably she's just burning it all off because we have a large garden and she's just always on the go, When we go for a walk when we get back she jumps in the pond and swims round ( much to Dick's annoyance cos she ruining the plants) to cool off. Apart from a sedative and enforced bed rest (only joking) not sure what to do. What do/does Judith feed Stella on?

Next question - when is Mathilde likely to come into season again (first one was beginning of March). Dick and I are off to India in November and I'm really worried about one of the Shar Pei's getting to her where they go to stay.
