Thank you

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for your emails and messages after my tribute to Maddie, it means a lot to all of us here, thank you your kind words really helped us all.

On a happier note, here are some photo's I've taken on the family enjoying life at Mudlarks, they are pictures I've snapped, the gang must be natural poseurs as the pictures are ones where I have looked out of the window or door and seen a lovely shot which I took! For me it's lovely to see the dogs enjoying life here so much, I must get some of Bree and Tetra in with the Chickens, they spend most of the day lying in the chicken pens watching and guarding the hens!!! Who needs alpaca’s!! Tetra would happily move out of home to spend all her time in with the birds, it's surprising really as it she comes across game she is the such a driven working gundog but around the hens her instincts are to guard and protect and at night she and Bree work together to heard the newest pullets into the shed, brilliant to watch!

Diva, Zeta, Summer and Logi out relaxing in the Autumn sunshine.

I was indoors getting reading to go shopping, I spent ages looking for my boot in the end I decided to go out in case it had been taken outside, can't think who would do that!!! Tetra making sure I couldn't go out without her!
Watching the sun going down, Diva and Tinker.

Relaxed and happy - Tetra

Oh Ali I am so so sorry to hear about poor Maddie. We know what your going through, we lost our first Munster Baron at the same age to the same horrible disease. It was a very traumatic time as the vet tried everything but didn't find out what it was for a few weeks until he finally had to operate and found the tumor.

Merlin our spaniel also didn't want to go for a walk for weeks after. Animals do know or sense something don't they, Mums cat (who lives next door) spent the week after he died sleeping on his bed which she had never done before.

She will leave a big hole in your lives as did Baron but as a result of loosing him we were in contact with you and now have Jed and Elva which we are thankful for. Thinking of you all at this sad time.

Goodbye to my Darling Maddison

Maddie - Raycris Falcons Gift to Blitzan
2003 - 2011

A sad goodbye to a fun loving girl who was dearly loved and is terribly missed.

Two weeks ago we had to say a heartbreaking goodbye to our gorgeous Maddie. In the space of two days she went from showing signs of being off colour to collapsing and never getting up again. It turned out she had cancer which had ruptured and she was bleeding internally, we had no choice but to say a heartbreaking goodbye to our live wire Maddie.
Maddie was a special gift from Christine and the Raycris family, she came to us as a tiny black bundle and right from day one she fitted into our family perfectly. Known as 'Bumble Bee' because she was always buzzing around life was never dull with our Maddie. Like the rest of her siblings she managed to have an awful accident at 9 months old when she got impaled on a poachers trap. Maddie was the perfect patient and made a full recovery and for the rest of her life she was a happy, healthy girl who was the most loving member of our family.
We had Maddie because we fell in love with her, she was also meant to be mated to Logi to produce a new line for the Blitzans, it wasn't meant to be but it never changed our love for our beautiful black beauty. Actually Maddie wasn't really black as she spent most of her life covered in Mud so she looked brown! Although she held her own in the show ring winning many a class as well as a RCC, she was the happiest out in the fields, she was best known for her rolling and wallowing antics, one of the most watched videos we have ever had, (it is still on our web site!).

We all miss our Bumble Bee so much, it's taken me some time to be able to write this tribute to my beautiful girl, such a shock to lose Maddie in just two days, one moment she was the fittest of girls and within two days she was gone, she was only 8 years old and I feel so cheated, she should still be here curled up next to me, Maddie slept next to me and as yet no one has moved into the empty space, all the dogs miss her but Diva and Zeta more than the others, in fact Diva refused to gout for three days after, she just wouldn't leave the house to go for a walk and Zeta just curled up in Maddie's bed and whined, so sad and so unfair.

Sleep well my beautiful girl, and I hope you, Tarka, Leah and Solo are all reunited and chasing birds, you are so missed Maddie B you've left me with an empty feeling inside, you were such a wonderful girl and taken far too soon.

Thank you Christine, Raymond and Michael for giving us such a wonderful and perfect dog.
