Ziggy and Parker

Ziggy is growing up beautifully, she really has a lovely nature and is a bird dog through and through. We have recently welcomed a new addition to the family in the shape of a three month old Flattie called Parker. It was pretty frantic in the initial stages but things are starting to settle down and everyone is relaxing. Parker was living with two of her siblings so she is more than capable of holding her own when Ziggy gets a bit boisterous which is good! In the meantime Ziggy can't quite decide whether to mother Parker or chase her! At the moment they are both lying by my feet under the kitchen table fast asleep.

Proud

Logi must be a very proud Daddy tonite after looking at the results for Leeds today...Both Dog and Bitc CC winners his children and the res bitch cc his daughter and my Majik's.
I have missed not showing this year but it would be hard for me to take 2 dogs out and leave the other 4 at home, when they are left at home Monday to Friday while I am at work.
Work has been so busy lately so many new things for me to learn but they do pay me rather alot which is nice.
The puppies look lovely, great time of year to have them.More pics please
Troy looked like he had a wonderful holiday, lucky boy. Time to go walking now.

Tolly's Puppies

As the puppies are getting bigger and older, they are starting to develop their own personalities. We gave each of them nicknames as they were born to be able to identify them. To introduce you to some of the family , here is Domino, the big boy of the litter. He always finishes his food first and goes off looking for seconds.

Fleck is the baby, a bit timid but he can put up with the best of them.

Saddle is a sweet girl with very attractive markings like her mum.

Five Spot is the laid back boy of the litter - we usually find him asleep in Tolly's kennel.

Dotty is our baby girl, always in the the thick of the action despite her size. She gets very excited around trouser legs.

They've been enjoying the Cornish sunshine today, sleeping a lot with bursts of energy at food time. They have also got the knack of getting us up super early in the mornings....

Tolly has lost a lot of her hair - as someone said, the bitches look in a right state timed perfectly for when people come to look at the puppies. We've put her on cod liver oil and conditioning tablet supplements in the hope that her lovely thick fur and bushy tail come back to their full glory. Has anyone else experienced this?

Lucky for us the puppies cry sounds just like seagulls, so we can blame it on the birds if any neighbours feel that they are getting disturbed.

What gorgeous pictures Lindsey, they look so gorgeous, clever Tolly.
So glad you've joined us now we can have even more pictures, the more merrier please!!!!

Pauline, it sounds like you all had a lovely holiday, I love going out with my gang, I was so impressed with Bree at the pub, kids running around all over the place, other dogs about and she just lay down beside the pub table. It's definitely true, the more you do with the dogs the better behaved and far more confident they are. Love your photo's too. As for how I broke my toe, let just say it was a very silly clumsy moment, I go up from my Computer desk and caught a cable in between my little toe and the next one, I kept going and fell, my toe just sort of got ripped sidewards, the cable cut a nasty little groove 3/4 of the way around my toe and I broke the knuckle where it got over stretched and pulled in the wrong direction, rather painful!!!

Another lovely sunny day here, so off to walk the dogs before it gets too hot, you would be so surprised at how fast a wheel chair can go with several Munster's pulling it!!!!!!!

Ali, we've managed to get the technology to work.

Here is Tolly supervising her babies' play time in the Cornish sunshine:

They've obviously found something interesting....

Get me out of here -

More updates on the Trumorlund litter to come.

Tuesday 20 July 2010

Just posting some photos of Lola, who looks remarkably like Bree, and is absolutely wonderful. She's a huge thief, nothing is safe in the kitchen, bathroom or bedrooms, it's quite amazing what we find out on the grass! We go to basic training classes every Thursday morning which are useful, she knows exactly what she has to do ( but all that sit, stay and down does get a bit tedious....) and usually makes her own mind up what she's going to do, until I get cross.
She loves water as you can see, the photos show her following dragon flies above the pond. She also sits for hours watching the swallows overhead.
Ali - what are these tests that you've done on the others? I don't understand the abbreviations - could you explain when you have a minute?

Trumorlunde puppies

Tolly's and Darcy's babies are gorgeous, so chunky and fat, makes me so broody again!!! Lindsey you and Tolly are doing such a superb job. Aren't they just wonderful!!!!

More pictures please when you get five minutes!!! The more the merrier, there are going to be some very lucky owners out there.

A lady emailed me the other day asking about puppies and my computer wont let me reply to you, can you email me again please as not all of the babies are spoken for - a couple of people have mucked around so get in touch again and I will try to reply this time with Lindsey's details.

HUU

I have just had Darcy's - Blitzan Eternal Chaos, HUU test results back. He is CLEAR. Great news especially for his Gentle babies and Trumorlunde babies.
For the Gentle babies as we know both Mum, Summer, and Dad, Darcy are clear. We now know that all the babies are clear too and there is no need to test them. Anyone with a Gentle baby that would like a copy of the certificates of the parents please e mail me and I will pop a copy of each in the post.
I now know that Diva, Summer, Mathilde, Bree, Darcy and Dudley are all clear, I am still waiting on Logi's which I should have in the next week, sorry for the delay, not the AHT's fault, mine!!! But will post as soon as I get it confirmed.

If anyone is confused by the latest health issue - HUU email me and I will do my best to explain it.
Not an expert but will tell you what I know.

Hunting Diva
Flying Bree

Galloping through our second cut of hay.

Sorry I have not been on here much, despite still being on crutches with my broken foot I seem to have so much to do, we are moving up to Mudlarks next month and there is just so much to do. Getting the business going, managing the animals, (pigs and hens), let alone end of term for James and having two girls in full season!!! Basically it's all go.

Some gorgeous pictures on here again, Maier and Murphy both two puppies I fell for and aren't they gorgeous. I don't know where the time goes tough it seems like only yesterday they were born.
I am pleased to say that I hear another of Logi's kids has done well recently, Keith Groom (Grunjagen) and Tess, won the Bitch CC at East of England, so well done to both of them, great result, such a lovely natured girl, Tess.

Anyway time to get on just a quick photo stop and then back to work!!! I'm clumsy at the best of times but with these crutches it's murder!!! Hope everyone else is well and the dogs of course.

Murphy

Thrilled to have news of Murphy. Always knew he would be a handsome boy. He was definitely the most outspoken of all Lula's puppies and very affectionate. Tansy, his youngest sister, has an extraordinary way of communicating with a gruff kind of growling - in a friendly way! She always lets us know when someone comes up the drive and that it is her domain!! But once introduced pathetically friendly. Passionate about swimming thanks to a large choice of lakes and ponds in the neighbourhood.

murphy holiday

Took Murphy for a weeks holiday to Suffolk recently. We had lovely weather, with lots of long walks on the beach and visited a few dog friendly pubs. He had his first swim in a ditch surrounding a field - he thought it was lovely, but the sides were very steep. However, despite our worries he managed to get out no problem and promptly shook green/brown water all over me. After that we couldn't keep him out of the sea.
Lots of wild rabbits in the village we stayed in, which kept him busy and he became a popular visitor to the local pub where we met another Munsterlander owner. It was good to find that his dog behaved in the same way as Murphy and that he was perfectly normal! For example, being so excited when we return home as if we'd been gone for a week when it had only been 10 minutes and barking a lot.
We were amazed how many people came up to us recognising the breed and he certainly attracts a lot of attention wherever we go. They are definitely a very striking looking breed.
We are now looking after our friends bearded collie for 2 weeks who is over 11 years old. They seem to be getting on pretty well, although Murphy doesn't understand why he won't play with him.
Murphy is progressing quite well at dog training and has moved up to a class with older dogs, although he seems to forget how to walk to heel when we go out normally (too many smells and birds etc). Hopefully he'll get the hint eventually.
Weather not so good this week. It has been so dry that I had forgotten what a pain it is to have to dry off the dog after being out, especially when he loves leaping through the wet crops in the fields.

Holiday

Neil, Steph & Max have just returned from a holiday in the Lake District and sent me these lovely pictures of Logi & Narla's daughter Maier (Fulaluv Annalise) She certainly looks like she has enjoyed her holiday and has been practising her swimming.
Thanks very much for sending them Steph, Maier is looking lovely, I love the one with her tongue just poking out.

Congratulations

to all who did well at Windsor. Gutted we couldn't come, Mazy is in season , so had to give this show a miss. She'll be fine for Paignton though, I think that's our next one.

Sorry to hear about your toe Ali, I bet that hurts. Hope you're recovering too Hannah.

Windsor

Big Congratulations to all those at Windsor, great result for the extended Blitzan Family !!!!
Big well done to Carole, Sharon, Kathy, and Janet and all the other winners.

We didn't enter, as it is bit too far for me to travel on my own, and Dave now working in London means it is too much for him to drive back up from Windsor on a Sunday, and then get the train to London at 5am Monday.

Sorry to hear about your accident Ali, that must be really awkward with the dogs, good job you have the field, at least they can take themselves for a runaround in there till you are recovered.

Janet's puppy is now Fulaluv Aurora over Yeldoaks (Kody) her litter sister (Izzy) Fulaluv Angelina Mit Munset also qualified for Crufts, so well done to Jean and Izzy.

That makes a total of five out of the seven puppies now qualified for Crufts, the other two puppies Genna and Maier were equally as gorgeous, but have not gone to show homes.

Mummy Narla is also very proud of her babies and says she is sorry she wasn't there to give the pups their usual wash from her before they went in the ring.
Well done everyone who went to windsor today. I could not go either because i am still recovering from a broken wrist and broken foot which happen six weeks ago, but am on the mend. I hope to be at East of England next week thou

Congratulations

Just heard from Karen and Judith with the results from Windsor Championship show.
I didn't enter and am enjoying my year off, and ironically couldn't of gone as I broke my foot last Thursday evening so can't walk let alone run the dogs in a show ring!!
But the Blitzan family have been well represented with Kathy and Gertie, Blitzan Eternal Light winning Junior Bitch, her half sister Blitzan Truly Magical at Rockfest, Genna and Sharon won Post Graduate bitch, and then Logi's children won Best of breed, that was Carol and Jasper and a truly great result for Janet with Kody, Fulaluv Aurora (I think, correct me if I am wrong please Sandra or Janet) she won Best Puppy and the Reserve bitch CC from puppy. Congratulations to them all and to Sandra on breeding such a lovely first litter, Logi is such a proud Daddy.
