Hi Pauline Norman, was that the Pebblebed winery you were at last week end? We only live about 4 or 5 miles from there. We being Sarah, David, Jed, Elva and spaniel Merlin, there is also a Raychris Munsterlander who lives nearby in Exmouth. Very nice wine by the way.

Thanks for the Birthday wishes, Narla is six today !!!! Where did the time go.
Sorry we didn't get to SKC but we nipped off to Turkey for a quick break. Got back about 3am today, all the dogs came out of the kennels looking great, but glad to be home.
If anyone has emailed me I promise to catch up and reply soon, but just a bit jet lagged at the moment.
Just a few photos of the Birthday girl, who has had lots of loves and treats, and is now relaxing in her own bed, and snoring loudly !!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUMMY NARLA

Happy Birthday mummy Narla. Hope you have a fantastic day with lots and lots of treats. Looking forward to our next swim!

Hugs and kisses, from Maier

Hi everyone, Well done Karen and Mazy I bet you are very proud. Norman Troy and I have had a lovely if not wet and windy weekend away. On saturday we went to a very dog friendly vineyard wine tasting and on saturday we stayed in alittle village called Exton. Sunday morning walking with dog and camera we came across two hares out for a stroll I managed to get some Quite good pictures. How is it where ever you go a former Munsterlander owner appears it is lovely to talk to them, this weekend we stopped off in Melton Mowbrey for one of their famous pies whilst waiting outside the shop a lady came up to us who used to have a Ghyllbeck show champion called Connor she stood talking for a while about how much she missed having a munsterlander and it was lovely to see Troy, I think she was quit overcome with emotion by the time she had finished talking to us doesnt this lovely breed have an effect on you.

Bad habits

Bad habits!! Maddie is the one caught in the act here!!!, I must go through all my pictures and try and organise them as I can't find half of the one's I want! I'm sure I have photo's of all of them with their bad habits but may take some time to find them. These have been seen before, I know but they are Maddie!!
Just love the pictures of Maggie and Ludo, just great. The wallower.

It wasn't me who ate the chocolates, what Chocolates, don't know what you mean!!!!!!

Brilliant photos. Somehow Mazy manages to clean herself up before we've noticed she's eaten the tea from the saucepan. Domino is like Maggie, loves to wallow in mud and get really messy.
Great photo Tor, very funny.
Not sure Maggie has a look of innocence in this photo more of a look of that felt good after her dip in a mud bath. She just loves getting dirty. Elsa is on the other hand is horrified at Maggie's antics and prefers to stand and watch (thank goodness)

Just a quick post to share . . .

Ludo accessorising with spaghetti! Such a cool look : / And doing his best 'What do mean have I had my head in the pan?' look.
Anybody else got any pics that show their dogs have been up to tricks but have an oh so innocent look?

A Very Belated Happy Birthday to Summer, I hope she had a better day than Minden - she had to go to the vet to have her anal glands evacuated !! she had a great day after that and was very spoiled, I really can't believe that 5 years can pass so quickly ! She's very much the best friend and mentor to Lola, and loves every minute of it, they were both in the pond in the garden today - didn't manage to get the camera in time.
Thanks for the advice on the food,it's working well, she's calmed down a lot and seems to be growing a little slower but steadier now. Stewart had a National judge of Setters ( well, we can't all be perfect !!) in the office today- although what he has to do with the Army, I have no idea - but Lola was lying on her back on the floor, totally sparko, legs akimbo, and he commented on what perfect hips she had ! he said she looked fantastic for a 14 wk old puppy, and was very impressed by how well mannered she was. She's really muscling up now and her long coat is beginning to grow - feathers on the tail and has such fantastic markings, very different to Minden so we'll be able to tell who's got the pheasant from a distance !
She's coming to the whistle, and I'm doing some very early gundog training with her with our keeper, who thinks she'll be quite easy to train - here's hoping. I really hope I can get her to be a better peg dog than Minden, however, Mins is brilliant at picking up and usually beats all the spaniels as she's faster, travels further and has a fantastic nose. Lola spends most of her time in the garden at the moment either playing with Mins or running around at break-neck speed with her nose stuck to the ground.
I'm sending some photos, but they're not very exciting - we went to the beach at the w/end and Lolly had a fab time in the sea, but the camera was in the car. She pounced on some poor unsuspecting lady who was just sitting on the pebbles, and clearly hated dogs - bit embarrassing, but we both said sorry !
Hope you are all well, Bree looks fantastic, aren't they SUCH FUN !!
Hello all - good news about Tolly! How exciting - more puppies! The photos of munsters amongst the bluebells are gorgeous!
Work has been very very busy and so I've not had a chance to post late. Anyhow here are some of our latest Ludo photos. How many of you have munsters that swim like Ludo!! Don't think he quite has the hang of it yet. Have a look at the pics!
Look at his front feet - right out of the water bless him. He holds his head so high when he swims out for something.
Lots of splashing as he swims out - with deep plunging sounds like a child learning to swim.
And front legs under the water at last when he has something in his mouth! Ant swimming tips gratefully received!

Lovely photos on here, glad Tolly is in whelp, more puppy pictures soon then!!!!!

Hi everyone hasnt it been a scorcher of a weekend, hope Tetra is ok now Ali. I think im hooked on this new camera Troy cant do anything without me snapping away im on holiday this week so its a good job we no longer have to pay for films here are a few taken over the weekend.

Sat by the pool and Good News!!!

Well it is so hot here I splashed out, (excuse the pun!!!!) and we've been up at Mudlarks fencing for another flock of hens. Bree and I skived off and sat by the pool!!! Actually I nodded off and now match the colour of Bree's paddling pool!!!
Good News have heard for Lindsey and Tolly and Tolly was scanned today and confirmed Pregnant!!!!! So babies due in June, not long now, doesn't time fly by!
Quiet on here I take it you are all busy enjoying this gorgeous hot weather, our lot are living in the water troughs and Bree in her pool. I have asked if we can build a pool for us at Mudlarks but Andrew said No :-( unless we win the lottery or I earn the money for it by selling extra eggs, well always up for a challenge sooooo maybe next year?!!

What a lovely picture of Bree Ali. She is very pretty. Also lovely pictures of Troy - especially like the second one. I would love a good camera too, it certainly seems to make a difference to the clarity.

I brought Maggie and Elsa new collars yesterday. They are handmade leather half check collars and I'm really pleased with them. The leather is lovely and soft and the chrome is good quality. The were not a bad price either for leather. I will take a picture later of them wearing them.

I started jogging last weekend to try and improve my fitness - haven't ever done it before so I'm finding it hard going. I'm following a programme I found on the internet which is a run/walk programme to build up your strength gradually. When I started Maggie and Elsa got very excited when I ran and started barking and jumping up at me but they seem to have got used to it now thank goodness.

Frank took them out for a really long walk yesterday morning as I was busy with work. He bumped into, quite literally, a huge heard of cows that were trotting towards him. He managed to duck under a fence and into the wood and Maggie and Elsa did a big detour around them and met him up the other side. He said he was pleased with the way they behaved, they didn't bark at the cows or show any stress and the cows ignored them and carried on the way they were headed. I think if it had been me I would have panicked.

Happy Birthday Summer Sausage!

Happy Birthday To Mummy love from Bree. x x x
Tetra

Summer enjoys her birthday, it's lovely and warm here so she needed to cool off!

Pauline your pictures are great, very clear and Troy looks lovely in them, such a handsome boy. I must admit I thoroughly enjoy photography and the dogs are my favorite subjects, (can you tell?!!) It is so warm and sunny here I just can't help taking time out wallking them and that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!!!

Tetra is on the mend but we are on a change of antibiotics as the Masitis spread. She is definitely more comfortable and a little bit hyper at the moment but I think that must be the drugs she is on as she isn't normally, but it's nice to see her more comfortable, she was quite poorly with a high temperature and no desire to run anywhere.

Well it's Summer's birthday today 5 years old bless her, not sure where the times goes, below is a picture of Summer as a baby, not unalike her daughter Bree is she!!

Tuesday 18 May 2010

Hi Ali How is Tetra hope she is now feeling better. I have been so impressed with your lovely photos on the blog that we decided to buy a new camera so we invested in a DSLR these are a couple of pics of Troy I dont think I did bad for a first try.

Is it a bird? Front leg lifted. No it's just Aunty Zeta all four on the floor!!!

The Bluebells.

Waiting for Mum.

Waiting for Aunty Zeta

Who was actually waiting for us!

Bless her not bad for an old girl!
Not so nice weather wise today but James, Zeta, Bree and I enjoyed a gentle stroll in the woods on the way back from the Supermarket. It's trying to rain but hasn't managed it quite yet.
Karen your walk looked lovely too, the girls look very well. Tetra is not improving, to start with she did and now it has got worse again so no doubt a change in antibiotics is needed. Poor little girl.
Karen C. hope you and Richard enjoy your week alone! Relax and have fun.
