He is such a stunning wee boy, as is Ghillie. Very different in markings but equally handsome!! He looks so cute in his jumper too. I remember when Ceilidh had her first few walks she was shivering constantly it was so cold wet and windy outside so I ended up getting a coat for her but only used it for a few weeks before she became hindered by it on walks when she became more adventurous.
Fingers crossed Andy is hime for Christmas Jo, my dad worked offshore for years when I was young so he did miss a few christmas'. As much as we miss them I know for sure it is much harder for them having to spend time on a rig instead of with the family.
Loki is such a lovely boy, it looked like he was coming in for a clap or ear rub in the video with him walking toward you.
Training and bronze - why will the trainer not let a dog sit the bronze until a year old? Ceilidh did hers months ago! Maybe 6 months old at the time. I can go into a different room and out of sight but I don't think she would stay still for 5 minutes without me being infront of her.
Sounds like Ilka is really coming on Sophie!
Oh...a warning for everyone. The man who cleans my mums windows (he is also a Ghillie to trade too not by name) He lost his Ridge back at only 10 months old a couple of weeks ago. He was in the car and when he got home he let the dog out of the boot and it caught sight of a deer in the wooded area beside the house and took off after it. The stag only moved out of the guys sight so he thought they were in a chase. It is mating season and the stag had only moved out of sight. 5 minutes later (or he said it felt like 5 minutes) and his dog came back lay at his feet and died within minutes. There was not visible sign od what had happened until he turned him over and found a small but immensly deep hole in his side. The stag had gone into competition with the dog but it had sharp antlers not the smooth more rounded ends and had effectively stabbed the dog, I cannot remember what the correct term for this is but I do know during mating season Stags die because the same thing happens when they have their dominance battles. So just wanted to warn everyone to be careful at this time of year when you know there are deer about. It is such an awful thing to happen and he is heart broken but there is nothing he could have done, the dog just took off and wouldn't come back even though it was well trained.
Sorry not the happiest of stories but something that you might want to watch out for.
