Maggie has an injury.... again.... She and a springer friend of hers ran into each other literally at full speed just over a week ago. The springer was fine but Maggie cried out and kept crying until I could get to her in the middle of a corn field. Never heard a dog cry like it before - really horrible. She has been on pain killers and anti-inflammatory drugs all week and lead walk only but after a week and coming off the medication it is no better so she is going in to have x-rays tomorrow. At least the hot weather has helped to keep her from going stircrazy.
Our water hole is drying up a bit too but still enough for them to cool off in. A lot of rain forecast for next week though so think we may find them filling up again.
