Only just been able to catch up - we had a scare with Tilly this morning who we think had colic. The vet has been called and given her some pain killers and I have been walking her around the paddocks. The vet thinks there is probably too much grass which gave her a tummy ache - it is growing quickly with all the rain we have had and although she is shut into one half it still maybe too much for her on her own. Anyway we will need to keep a close eye on her because the pain mediaction is due to run out now so hope she is ok.

Thanks for the advice Sue - sounds all a bit scary I think. One thing I'm not clear on - if you have your dogs taken to the vet and get everthing done here before you go - do you still need to see a vet abroad before you can return with them again?

I think if we did it we would use the eurotunnel - find the ferry a bit scary and wouldn't want them in kennels - at least on the tunnel you can keep your dogs with you can't you? We will have to see - I am also researching kennels to see if I can find one near us that I like. If not I won't go.
