Hudson - Rixbriar Ultimately Swish (affectionately known as Hudsy or Huds)

Hudson like Brodie (his brother) is 4 and a half months old born 12 March 2008, Hudson or Totti as he was then was the pup that stood out to us as being the cutest on our first visit to Judith. It seemed to take an age for him to get to 7 weeks when he was ready to come to his new home and we were all excitedly watching the blog to check his progress.

Matt collected Huds after work and they arrived home in the evening once Charlie and Connie had gone to bed so that they had a lovely surprise when they woke up in the morning.
Hudson is Matt's first dog i had a Yorkshire terrier when i lived with Mum and Dad. Hudson is a real character, he is strong friendly and mostly confident apart from near busy roads or hoovers! Hudson wants to be everyone’s friend and would like to be petted by everyone we see on our walks. He has even been known to sit down and refuse to walk if someone is walking behind him just so that he can wait to say hello.

Hudson is a definite chewer he chews mostly everything that isn’t his that he can get his paws on! (my vynil table cloth, the kids toys, the odd shoe!) But to be fair to Hudsy I would say that these episodes are all attention seeking as he has to compete with 2 young children. Hudson is also a digger and will often come in with muddy mouth and paws! He also loves the garden and sits grandly surveying all that he possesses.

Its difficult to say who Hudsy has attached himself to the most. He’s very fond of Matt because matt does the majority of his walks but because i spend all day with him he is also very fond of a cuddle with his Mum.

He loves the children to bits. He seems to know that Charlie is a bit wary of him and seems to back off him a little where as he showers little Connie with Kisses. The kids love Hudson to bits too and enjoy playing with him. Connie thinks he is a great source of entertainment and Charlie is getting closer to him as time goes on, I can see that they will both grow up loving him to bits as i did with my dog at home.

I can say that for us life is very hectic juggling babies and puppies so i can’t imagine another Munster at the moment, but that’s not to say that we never will who knows what will happen once the kids are older! Hudson is a lovely boy and i think i speak on behalf of the whole Wilkins family when i say life wouldn’t be the same without him.
