My first Munster

About 5 years ago my husband decided to get a gun and start "hunting", as the marriage was heading for the rocks, I thought that it would do us good to have an activity together. I started looking for a suitable gun dog. At the local game fair I spotted something I liked - a field spaniel. But internet research left me feeling that it was not the breed for me, but it did lead me to the "Large Munsterlander". A few months later at a game show, I bumped into Carol Saunders and Jasper - I was hooked! 18mths of research and finally biting the bullet and leaving my husband meant I was free to do what I wanted - and that was to increase my "pack" to three! First points of contact were Ali and Judith - very long telephone conversations and put in touch with Sarah in Manchester. Sadly, my first choice of Munster (Jasmine) turned out to be a liver and white pointer cross, so it was a trip to Cambridgeshire and a return home with Cassie. Now there's no going back - 2nd one is currently causing havoc in my home and I'm sure it won't be long before the third is planned!
