to hear that Ghillie is unwell again, Lindsey. Sorry this is a very quick post; tried to post just now and it disappeared into the ether!
A couple of years ago, I had a cat who wouldn't grow. She was very thin, dangerously thin, ate like a horse and didn't put on weight or grow, had smelly poo and sometimes shot diarhorrea. She ran up a bill of GPB1000 worth of blood & stool tests and goodness knows what tests, but the vets found nothing. Finally, she tested positive for giardia. Apparently, it is very very difficult to find in a stool from a normal test. Every time she had diarrhoea since then, I retested using an Elise (I think that's the spelling) test. It's still done on stools, but giardia is easier to find using this test, apparently. She had it so badly that the normal way of dealing with it, 5 days of Panacur, didn't work and she had to have kiddy medicine!! I'm sure your vets have tested for it, Lindsey, and found nothing, but I thought I would mention it as it was by chance that it showed up in a stool test. They had tested stools before and not found it, because it is so difficult to find.
Good luck with whatever it is. I do hope that Ghillie gets better soon.
Great posts on why everyone chose Muensters. Sorry for rush, but wanted to mention the giardia.
