Jack (a Strider/Tallulah) puppy is 15 weeks old tomorrow and we cannot believe how our lives have changed he is such a cheeky boy (Dave reckons he must be the naughtiest puppy of the litter) he has wrapped all three of us round his huge paws but we wouldn't have it any other way. He eats for England - loves most of his food just changed him to skinners muslie which he adores
He had an allergy attack after meeting the horses - what a panic - thank you Ali for being on the end of the phone - he now has puppy piriton just in case - it wasn't nice to see him suffering - but the Vet likened it to a child being stung and not knowing how to cope - he soon bounced back to his normal self. He now comes down the yard and helps me with the wheelbarrow - does he care about the horses feet - my heart is in my mouth sometimes but the horses are so gentle with him - must admit it was funny when they decided to play he just made a beeline for the menage and watched through the post and rails - it was all too much for such a tiny person.
We are doing Puppy training and he is doing OK - of course proud mum wants him to be the best, Dad is just pleased that he did a stay whilst he moved away from him. Must admit we are not the most dedicated trainers - but we try.
I have attached some pictures of him - enjoying one of his first free runs - Ali said let him go, he will stay with you (you are such a font of knowledge) because he does and does fantastic re-call - either that or he is like a third leg stuck to me like glue - it depends on whether he is on his own or has Bella to be brave with.
ME & MY SISTER
He has made friends with the Springers on the farm, athough the old lady just growls and snaps at him - but he is learning to stay away, the other is just getting used to him and the 2 of them had a great game on Sunday. Met his first dead pheasants the other day- but hate to say he was much more intersted in his own versions at home!
Hope all his brothers and sisters are well.
