Zoe, yes we will take Domino camping to Butlins, although she will only stay one night as Richard comes back on Sunday, he can't take time off work next week as it's the company year end. At night she sleeps in with us inside the inner tent which is zipped up so she can't escape. The rest of the week I just have the children to entertain, poor Domino has to spend a bit of time on her own while Richard is at work, but my friend will let her out a few times.
We have to be careful when we're sat outside, she's usually tied to the car or one of us will hold her because if she sees a dog go by and we haven't seen it, she'd be off. It doesn't take her long to be territorial around our pitch. I'm hoping she might be better now that she's done a lot more socialising with other dogs. I would suggest taking Hudson camping as soon as you can so he gets used to what's expected of him.
Domino and I went training tonight and she was so good again that she came home with a rosette for good progress and we have to move to the next class up when we go next time. Tonight I had to take her lead off in the middle of the hall near all the other dogs and she waited until I called her. I was so pleased she didn't take her eyes off me, especially when ten minutes beforehand she was eyeing up one of the other dogs. Trouble is the next class up starts at 8.30pm, I'm tired enough going at 8pm, so is Domino.
