Mouthing

First of all I have to say when you have a lot of dogs it's not a problem you get as they only do it to each other, BUT I have a friend who's Munster used to do it and she managed to stop it by firstly a high pitches scream of fake pain so that the dog was worried she hadreally gone to far, and if she was just too excited to listen she would grab her scruff and pull her down to the floor and stan over her until she had relaxed and given up. The thing is the scream has to really sound like a squeal of pain not an excited shriek, some people suggest ignoring the dog but in my opinion it just makes then grab you even more to get your attention. If you just stand there quietly looking at them and not speaking until they have stopped and then praising them for the good behavior that should help but it's dependant on just how rought the mouthing is, if it's painful it's very hard to just stand there and stare at them.

My advice would be make sure your srceam of pain is just that, and loud enough to shock the dog. If that doesn't work grab the dog by the loose skin at the back of the neck and make her lie down flat on the floor until she stops struggling. They do grow out of it, so don't dispare too much.

Anyone else with suggestions please post them on here or e mail me with them and I can post them to be honest the more ideas and help the better.
