Mouthing
Maggie did this a lot when she was younger, she doesn't now, she is 18 months. I think partly they do grow out of it and partly continuing letting them know you won't tolerate it. With Maggie I tried the screem, probably wasn't convincing as it just made her more excited. So, like I did when my children were babies and they started playing with things that were positively dangerous, I gave a firm NO and took whatever it was away. With Maggie jumping up and mouthing, a firm NO and pulled her down. I made sure she knew I wasn't pleased with that behaviour, as soon as she had four feet on the ground I praised her to let her know what I did like. Maggie is a very sensitive dog though and so shouting had her had a huge effect. All dogs are different and you will need to find what the best way is for your dog. I have heard turning your back and ignoring them works but like Ali said, Munsters are a bit too clever for that and will just try harder to get your attention I think )lol
