I had an email yesterday, from a very good friend and Munsterlander owner from across the pond, in the USA, she regularly reads the Blitzan Blog and really enjoys reading about all things Munster, and also the wonderful photos on here of what Munstetrlanders do best, enjoy themselves.
She quite rightly took me to task about what I had said about pain releif, and said I had given the wrong impression, so to correct what I said in a previous post.
Narla did of course have pain killers post operatively, but the orthopedic surgeon weaned her of them pretty quickly, but the pain she would have been in would have been at that stage more like a twinge, on a par say with having a stone in your shoe. This was to stop her leaping around and preventing the wound from healing, it had to be done as if the wound had not knitted together she would have had to have at least one possibly two toes amputated.
I would never ever withhold pain relief, and I would always be guided by the vet, I think each set of circumstances has to be viewed independently, as every case is different.
I didn't mean to generalise, and I am very sorry if I gave completely the wrong impression, but it down to tiredness and not reading back properly what I have written.
Judith Binks can be an honorary Munsterlander if he wants, he is just integrating himself into the pack. He certainly seem to have settled in well, and be enjoying life. One luck boy who has certainly fell on his feet.
