Have just read the blog from Loudon and Tansy sounds exactly like Murphy. He won't go out to pee in the rain, so toilet training has been a real battle this last week. He has been a bit more cautious at puppy classes, but this week he was more interested in making friends, which basically means barking at the puppies if they ignore him! He does have his hyperactive moments and is getting up to mischief quite a lot, but he has slept through the night from day one. He can now reach the kitchen worktops - the dishcloth being his favourite to steal if he can. It is virtually impossible to keep everything out of his reach, so never now what he will have next. Have decided that rather than buy him toys for Christmas we will get him a broom, a sponge and a pair of shoes as he seems to play with them for ages!!
We have had lots of admiring comments from the other puppy owners - he really is gorgeous and has a lovely coat now (butter wouldn't melt!).
I have managed to go out with him for short walks in between the rain, and this morning was lovely and crisp, although very muddy underfoot- thankfully Murphy hasn't discovered the pleasures of muddy puddles yet, in fact he will avoid them if he can, but I'm sure that will change.
The photos were taken about 3 weeks ago by my sister, who is a keen photographer, so his legs and body have got longer, but his face hasn't changed that much. I only got them this week, but it was worth the wait as they are so much better than my efforts.
