Why a Munsterlander

It all started off around 10 years ago we were in the local garden centre and Simon came across a book and on the front was a picture of a beautiful dog, it which turned out to be a Large Munsterlander we had never even heard of this breed, Simon said now that is a nice dog. At that time I was pregnant with Holly and we had Misty our Springer Spaniel who was around 6 months old. Ten years down the line we moved to a larger house with a huge back garden and with me working part time and Misty getting older both Simon and I started to discuss getting another dog, Simon suggested getting another Springer as Misty has been a total pleasure to own, but I have always loved my big dogs as grew up with Dodermans. So Simon said remember that book we sore in the garden centre the Large Munsterlander why don't you see if one will be suitable for us, so I set to on the computer and did lots and lots of research and the more we read the more we realised this was the breed for us, with having horses and always been out and about walking we needed a high energy dog. Our next task was to meet a Munster as we had never actually seen one apart from on the cover of a book, we then meet three Munsters and it was love at first sight. I then went on the Internet but there was none for sale I emailed one lady but they had all been reserved, around two weeks later I got an emailing saying that one of the people were not suitable for one of the puppies and because I emailed them they ask me if I was still interested. I went to visit Oscar the weekend after and it was love at first sight as you can guess I put a deposit down and collected him 4 weeks later. I know I have only had this breed of dog for 5 months but I love him to bits and he totally fits in to our lifestyle and Misty and Oscar are sole mates she has taken him under her wing and always looks after him and yes in time I will definitely get another Munsterlander (when I have talked Simon around to it that is!!!!!!!)
