That was lovely to read about Tarka, she is a lovely dog. This hide chew trait, I haven't given Domino any for a while because she tends to swallow large pieces without chewing properly and then chokes on it. Do any of your dogs do that Ali?
I succeeded in getting Domino to pick up a knotted rag today, we were both sat on the kitchen floor, me armed with a clicker and treats, and after lots of trying, she eventually got the message. Will try again tomorrow and see if she remembers, then try the same with some other objects. This was something that she was asked to do at training last night and completely refused, so I'm very pleased with her today.
