Karen, my Dad is English. He and my Mum moved out to the Loire Valley about 14 yrs ago. Unfortunately Mum passed away almost 7 years ago, but Dad wanted to stay out there as he loves it so much. His place is in the middle of no-where, farming community. It's wonderful, especially in the summer. Sitting out in the orchard of an evening, 20 degrees listening to owls, foxes, beep toads etc. We've seen at least 4 different breeds of owl, barn, tawny and something my Dad calls a screech owl (????). I feel chilled the minute I turn into the 1/2 mile driveway......... Would be a great place for a munster-bash abroad, loads of space for caravans and campers!
