FIRE

Yes and I mean FIRE, it seems to be one thing after another here at the moment and last night was no exception..............
A bit late to bed as like Elspeth I have pulled a muscle in my neck so really sore, James already in bed with Prima in her cage (with door open) and Diva by his bed. Andrew had Logi in the spare room so that we had less chance of a mishap and he got a good nights sleep with out knocking me and my neck. I took the other 5 to bed with me. Couldn't get to sleep as so sore so watching a bit of TV when around 1am I heard James come out his room and say outside my door, something which sounded lie, I smell fire. I lept out of bed and saw him stood there bent over gasping and looked behind and saw smoke, I opened his bedroom door only to see it full of smoke, James and the dogs were sent downstairs and out, Andrew woken up and then I dashed into his room, a pair of jeans on his bed were glowing and the smoke was awful, I open the window and chucked them out, they ignited as soon as they made contact with the air and burnt all the way down.
Andrew came running and I escaped with Logi, who was shoved in the car, outside the jeans were well and truly burning and the smoke alarms were sounding the smoke was billowing out of the windows, it was really scary. Several of the dogs were shaking, except the ones you would imagine, the youngsters, Prima is the true hero, it was Prima that woke James up, she got out her cage and stood on him then kept hitting him with her paw, he told me she woke him up and he came round telling her off but once he realised he could hardly breathe he got up and came to get me. I can't bear to think what if she hadn't woken him up and if it was a few seconds later.
What caused the jeans to catch fire............... A light we bough him for Christmas, from Argos for £10 a spotlight one he had switched it on when he got up for the bathroom, then fallen asleep with it on, it was knocked over as he had it beside his bed and it fell onto the bottom of his bed, there was a pair of Jeans not touching it but close and the heat from the bulb set them alight.

We are one very lucky family and Prima is a true heroine and will be treated like a Princess for some time to come, I am still shaking and can't stop thinking what if?
