Thank you Karen. I think you're right, I should have put her back on the lead when she first started to get hyper, I said to my friend she had smelt something and next we knew she was off. Only a little while before we had been doing some recall training by stopping and walking in different directions to get the dogs to realise weren't walking in their direction and they were both doing really well following us.
Thank fully she did follow us when we began running back the way we had come from and then I did put her back on the lead, we were nearly at the road anyway. When this happens again, we'll go back to where she went off on one and try again.
We are thinking about taking them both to an exemption show at Nettlecombe on Sunday, just for fun, so we were training them to stand still and let us check them all over and they were both really good. Then Domino went and made me look completely stupid when she saw the squirrel on the way home.
