We had a lovely afternoon with baby Brodie. He was exhausted by the time I got the video. They had been playing for a good 2 hours before I got the camera out. He is just beautiful. I miss the puppy smell! It is just the best. He got a little cranky near the end and started to fall asleep bless him. Then woke up as we left. Ceilidh is now sleeping it all off in the kitchen.

Thinking on puppies, a bit of advice for first time owners on the turning them upside down, try to pin their back legs between your own, it saves your arms from being scratched and it makes them calm down quicker as they cannot wriggle as much and know you have more control over them.

The blue bandage on her paw is because we found a cut on her pad this morning. We had had her up in the field and she was going wild, chasing the birds just so they knew she was back from her weekend away. There must have been glass or something equally sharp hidden in the grass. She didn't yelp or walk funnily so it wasn't bothering her. We only found it because she had gotten so muddy over the last few days (yes the rolling is becoming an every walk occurance now) so we gave her a shower and when towelling her dry there was a tiny bit of blood on the towell. So the wound was cleaned out and antispetic powdered and dressed. She was most unimpressed with the blue bandage but she is used to it now. I know it is a lot for just a small cut but I want to keep it clean. So if Paigton is on Wednesday what days would you like us to stay? Just so I can go ahead and book our holidays in tomorrow. So looking forward to seeing Ilka there Sophie, her eyes don't look too light in any of the pictures by the way. They are lovley and bright.
