My pal Heather & I thoroughly enjoyed our day at Border Union. It was great to meet Ali and James and the lovely Diva and Prima. I would really have loved to sneak off with Diva when Ali asked me to hold her...but darn it I think she would have noticed. It was great to put a few more faces and names together....I am the world's worst at remembering names although I am usually pretty good at faces... I did however remember you Elspeth even without your wrist support. Both my friend and myself thought Ceilidh had grown in the short time since the SKC - she really is a sweetie. I will contact Ali for your phone no. so we can meet up and go for a walk in the near future. I was amazed to see what time Ali and co got home...I reckoned it would be well after midnight!!!! It must have been a really good journey...thank-goodness. Hope there won't be any little speeding tickets landing on the doormat!!! I hope James and Prima travelled home without problems, and are both OK now. I really felt for them cos I thought they both looked a little peaky but James I was so impressed with your handling, well done when you must have still felt at less than your best. Well I think I had better get on with the housework now after being in the vets for 2 hours with my wee Jess this morning. She is 11 1/2 and has not been at her best since we came back from hols. She has a very large lump on her side which was checked out before and is thankfully benign but she has terrible diarrhoea + blood since yesterday. The vet did a full range of blood tests in case anything nasty was lurking but thankfully everything was well within normal limits. Her temp was ok but she has been given antibiotic injections and we are now going to have to wait for swab results. I think I may have to have her anal glands removed as she has had constant problems with them for several years now.It is not a nice op for her but generally she is so fit the vet thinks it would be better to think about doing it now rather than wait. I just dread the discomfort she will have but maybe it is better than the ongoing discomfort she is getting from the glands now. Have any of you had experience with anal gland problems or the op to remove them??? I would be interested to hear if you have any advice or info.
Lindsey.
