I aggree with Karen Ali, only you know Zeta but if you think she can lie calmly and just watch with someone with her then I don't see how it would differ from being a home. I think you probably need to get out and have some fun and Zeta will enjoy watching I am sure. You could always give the vet a ring, tell him your plans and see what he says.
Have you contacted the dog warden/police yet? Love to know what they are going to do about it. I sent you an email last night. I hope she is ok.
