Teething & Training

Loving all the snowy pics, we've not had a huge amount of snow in Bournemouth, just a couple of inches. Doesn't stop Dodger bounding around like a nutter or trying to eat as much of it as possible though. Forecast for more tomorrow - so who knows.

Need some advice - Dodger's teething is well under way as he's now lost 3 teeth! Only one of which I've managed to find though. Just wondering whether there's anything we can give him to help relieve the discomfort?

He currently has raw hide chews, kong teething toys and various other chewable toys and we've been giving him ice cubes too to help numb the pain, but just wondered whether there are any other suggestions as to what we could try?

He spends some time rubbing his muzzle which I'm guessing is connected to the teething and he also whines.

Any suggestions very much welcomed.

On a separate note, we had our first training session last night. He did really well, although a little bemused as to why he wasn't allowed to play with the other puppies, or even go and say hello. He did get told off for talking to everyone - in fairness to him though he was set off by another puppy, unfortunately for Dodger though he's found his bark and it stands out against the others little puppy yips.

Once settled though he managed sit, stand, down and leave. He does these at home, but much more difficult when there's lots of other distractions.

We've got some homework to do on walking to heel and down and stay ahead of next week, so little training sessions each day to show how clever we are by Friday.

Take care in the cold and snow everyone and if we get some more, hope to get lots more photos.
