Took Theo along a stretch of the Wye Valley Walk today. En route is a wire suspension bridge.

He doesn't seem very keenBut plucks up courage.
The other side : what a reliefMany years ago, this same bridge had a wire mesh floor - too sharp for a dog's paws. We had a red setter then. Rather than carry him, we thought it would be a good idea if he swam across. He got 3/4 of the way and turned back - so we then had to carry a sopping wet dog across!

Towards the end of today's walk we ended up in a field of barley (sown across the public path!). Lovely to see Theo jumping several feet in the air to clear it!
