Sharon, on the contrary - quite jealous)lol I'm not a first time dog owner but Maggie was my first Munster and is now 2 and still not walking to heal! She will walk off lead to heal and when she is tired on the way back from a walk but going out - pulls my arms out their sockets - so WELL DONE!
As for the bike problem - I'm not sure what the best way to stop that is. Maggie has never chased bikes, runners etc - all she is interested in is pheasants)lol I think getting one of your friends to cycle past is a good idea - may be carrying some water and squirting him with it when he gets close. I knew someone once with a collie that did this and she solved the problem with a spray collar. Good luck.
