Hi everyone, Really enjoying getting caught up on all the puppies, wow not so little any more! Sounds like everyone is enjoying their little raskals. It has been a slow spring here in Kelowna this year we will have one nice day then 5 days of colder weather, everyone is complaining especially my husband Andy. He was home for his 10 days off and the weather was only really nice 1 day. We have been getting a lot of walks in and found a few new trails in the mountains that we are going to check out when Andy gets home in June. One of them is a trail straight up and takes 4 hours, but must keep dogs on leash in some areas as there are drop offs along the trail and a lot of birds to distract them. (wouldn't want any of them to chase a bird off a side of a mountain!) There a 4 diffenent lakes along the way so the dogs will really enjoy a dip to cool off. I will also attach bear bells to their collars just in case there are bears in the area.
We just bought my daughter a Ferret for her birthday and the dogs and it get along surprisingly well, well Duke runs from it, but Duchess lets it crawl all over her. I am surprised as they chase marmots and have killed one before, guess they know its a pet and not prey!
