Vets

Hi Ali and all, thank you for the insight - the vet we saw was new to us. At the practice we go to there are a number of vets and before we saw one who knew the breed, this one seemed a little more vague.

Interesting to read that the things he gave us may have cancelled out each other. Just in case I didn't make it clear, with the food it was only once we saw any improvement we could start adding his own food in - so it was a day before we added some of his own biscuit in, once his stools has become mousse like rather than liquid.

Think I shall aim to see the vet who knows the breed and them only for the moment. My only difficulty was when we looked around before we struggled to find someone with knowledge of the breed and they did, although only one of the vets. Might ring round again and see what the other options are and maybe see if we can pop in and meet them.

Is it important to find someone with knowledge of the breed, or HPR's or just someone willing to be supportive, helpful and listen? Any hints, tips or questions to ask would be great - going to put the google machine into action in a minute to get me a list to call round next week.
