Beautiful Day

What a gorgeous day we're having here in Bristol. Took the dogs out at lunchtime and only just got back. Lots of people having picnics on the sea wall, very much appreciated by Cassie. I managed to badly bruise my knee. Going through a metal gate on a bridge over a stream, it swung back quickly and caught my right foot causing me to fall hard on my left knee. I was on my return when I met couple of ladies with 2 whippets and 2 border terriers. The whippet lady wanted to get one of hers to overcome her fear of German Shepherds, so I carried on walking with them. After 2 and half hours Louis had made friends and the nervous whippet had settled down with him. Cassie was very good at "rounding" up the terriers and teaching them to run through the flood plains. Louis took a liking to the whippet lady - she had a bag of turkey bits with her! The only down side was Cassie rolling in cow muck, she was not impressed with the hosing down when we got back. On the good side, the extra walking eased the pain in my knee. Hope everyone is having an equally good day.
