It’s been a while since I last posted but I’ve tried to keep up with what’s been happening. I’ve no new pics of Brodie but I should get my camera back soon.
Glad to hear that everyone that went to the show at the weekend had a good time. Hopefully we’ll be able to make an LMC show at some point. I hope James is well on his way to recovery.
Karen, the kitchen is looking good. I’ve been doing ours in France for 2.5 years now but I can only do it during my vacation so that’s why it’s taking so long. It should be finished soon, so next year I’ll take a pic of Brodie in it when he first visits. It’s not till the end of this year before the pet passport allows us to take him out and then back in to the UK.
Lins, your sketch is lovely.
Rosie, I hope you had a lovely 50th birthday. September is a busy birthday month for us too. I hope Ringo behaved himself with all your guests. It sounds like you’re getting on well with his training.
Zoe, how did Hudson’s 1-1 recall training go? Running on to a road must have been terribly worrying for you. We’re really lucky to have some decent sized forests close by, and our local park is a good size too. Brodie’s recall is generally very good. I was impressed last week when he got scent of a deer in the forest, he was off at some speed and when I realized it was a deer I whistled him. On the 2nd whistle he stopped, but was leaping about with excitement deciding whether or not to pay attention to me, so I shouted, and he came straight back. He was given huge praise for that one.
Elle, Ali, the calendar is great. Thanks to Lindsay for the photo of Brodie that was included. I’ve got that same photo on my PC screen saver and it gets a lot of positive comments about the quality of the photo.
Tyler is a lovely looking dog – I guess he doesn’t enjoy gardening as much as Brodie does though. Every time I try to garden Brodie wants to join in and dig excessively deep holes or spread my dug up weeds further around the garden. Maybe next year I’ll consider planting flowers again :)
