I moved to my place last year, the view from my bedroom window is the second Severn Crossing (the "new" Severn Bridge). I remember when this ugly thing was built, cursing it because the construction company were trampling all over the paths and fields that I used to walk my dogs in as a child. Now I'm virtually living underneath it! I moved away from my childhood playing fields to move to Newcastle, and later back to different parts of Bristol, it seems incredible that I am back on my old stomping ground. One thing I am glad of, no more building can be done at the back of my home, as its the river. I walk the dogs on an old rifle range, now a wild fowl area - never likely to be built upon as it is flood plains. I still think that the old bridge is more beautiful, but who are we to stop "progress".
Many thanks for your words of praise and encouragement about the sketch. To be honest I haven't picked up my pencils in years and was just playing around. I did the one of Diva from a picture on Ali's web site, it took me about 20 mins.
