How do you come up with a name - do you just chose one you like the sound of or does it have to have more meaning for you.
With Maggie, Rod Stuart was singing his song Maggie on the radio and it just sort of stuck in my head. With our new puppy it has been so difficult. Laila seemed nice for a while but then it just didn't sound right. I have been through name sites on the Internet, flower sites and birds sites but in the end thought I was trying to think of a name which was too different. I needed a name that was simple like Maggie so I have been thinking of names along similar tones as Margaret, like Elizabeth, Jane, etc. And so Elsa came to me, I rolled it around in my head for a while, practiced shouting it across fields (not really) and the more I say it the more I like it. I think the name Elsa will suit little Merlin well too and the icing on the cake is hubby and daughter like it too. Loved Born Free when I was a child and cried my eyes out - think I've like the name since then.
Thanks for the puppy pictures Ali - they are growing so fast! Love the one of the puppy meeting! All so cute.
