Narla isn't a Blitzan but she does share a lot of the traits, wanting to get on your knee, paws round the shoulders, she even did that to a judge once at Blackpool Champ show and she gave him a big sloppy kiss, thankfully he seemed to enjoy it and gave her a 1st.
As a puppy she had a thing for everything shiny, and she would make off with stainless steel pans, utensils, etc and take them down to her favourite bush in the garden. I used to find a whole stash of knives, forks, foil containers down under the bush every day.
One day I was on the telephone and heard such a lot of banging and clanking and she had the stainless steel laundry bin and was trying to drag it out of the kitchen door and into the garden.
She stopped when she got around the 18 month stage, so it must have been just a puppy thing, but very funny and we all used to laugh that being black and white she must have a bit of Magpie in her.
She also likes to use the bush as her scratching post, despite being flea treated regularly, she seems to really enjoy a good rub up against the bush.
I have put up a couple of photos of Narla and her favourite bush, and one on a recent walk with her Bearded Collie mates, they are all puffed out, and a bit bedraggled but they get on really well together and even the BC puppy has just fitted in perfectly well with the rest of the girls.
I had a letter this morning from Dog World saying Narla is the halfway leader in the Dog World/ Arden Grange Top Dog 2009. Not sure how the points work for this, Ali do you know ?
They wanted me to put an advert in, but not much point now as we won't be doing the rest of the show season, Narla came into season yesterday, so we will be having a trip to Hampshire very shortly to see Ali, Logi and the rest of the Blitzan's.
Obviously Narla and Logi's babies are going to have a lot to live up to, with their successful mum and dad.
